Operate elevating work platform
Overview
There is no requirement for a person to have a licence to operate a scissor lift; however it is a requirement under the Occupational Health & Safety Act 2004 that an employer must provide information, instruction, training or supervision to employees to enable them to perform their work safely.
The course will cover all aspects of operations from routine daily checks to safety tips and safe operation through to shutting down the scissor lift.
Prerequisites
Participant must be at least 16 years old.
Course structure
This unit requires the operator to be able to plan the work, conduct routine checks on the scissor lift, operate in a safe manner and shut down and secure the equipment after the completion of operations.
This unit in its current form meets employer requirements.
Course duration
4 hours (half day).
Course outcomes
Course recognition
Issued with an Elevated Work Platform Ticket.
Delivery arrangements
Participants to bring their own safety footwear, safety vest and hard hat.

Category A: $0*
Training participant is a fully financial PPTEU member. May be registered in training course by self or employer.
Category B: $247
Training participant is a Master Plumbers, AMCA or NFIA Association member.
Category C: $330
Training participant is not a member of PPTEU, Master Plumbers, AMCA or NFIA.
